Mill River Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Stratford, Connecticut.
Mill River Country Club was established as a Country Club with a nine-hole course located on what had been Stratford farmland in 1923 and was expanded to eighteen holes in 1925. In 1925, with an increased membership of 200, the course was expanded to eighteen holes.
Tom Winton of Tuckahoe, N.Y. was contracted to expand the course and to redesign the original nine holes. The 18-hole course was officially opened in September 1926.
Mill River Country Club is nestled along the Housatonic River on the coast of Long Island Sound.
The Mill River Country Club golf course plays to a par of 72. From the back tees, the course measures 6,595 yards for a par course rating of 69.8 and a slope rating of 126.
